FCT police arrest 14 over false missing organ claims; suspected robbers, kidnappers others.

WITH the escalating incidents and spread of disinformation on missing male genital in Abuja, the FCT Police has said the claims of fourteen suspects who declared their male organs disappearance is false.

The police noted that the suspected claimants where made to undergo medical test to confirm the activeness of their organs.

While briefing newsmen about the recent  achievement of the command in preventing crime on Tuesday October 3, the FCT commissioner of Police, Haruna Garba said the suspects had been charged to court for misinformation and inciting public disturbance.

Appealing to members of the public to concerted effort to mitigate crime in FCT,  Garba said that quite a number of suspects has been apprehended for capital crime and bailable offences like armed robbery, kidnapping, stealing, homicide, cultism and allegedly being in possession of marijuana.

According to the FCT Police Chief, that the command operation’s Kabusa Division  based on credible intelligence in September 15 trailed and arrested Adamu Idris aka Idi, a wanted and notorious kingpin responsible for series of kidnapping around Galadimawa/Apo, Lokogoma and Kabusa axis.

Stating that the suspect  confessed to being a member of a 5-Man gang who are currently at large, Haruna said other member of the criminal ring would be apprehended and charged to court soon.

Similarly, the police in Mabushi arrested four  suspected armed robbers namely; Oluwatobi Precious (an ex-convict), Theophilous Elkana, Ibrahim Usman and Umar Ibrahim (ex-convict) close to Destination Hotel Bannex who rob unsuspecting members of the public while on traffic jam around Mobil filing station, Mabushi and zoomed off in a getaway golf car. Suspects confessed to the crime.

Haruna said that items like a grey Golf car with Reg. No. DKA 288 RY, iphone 14 pro max, several ATM cards bearing different names and substance suspected to be cocaine were recovered from the suspects.

He also disclosed that the police operatives in Mabushi Division on October 3 raided a criminal hideout located in Gishiri Village and recovered a total of thirty- six (36) bags of dried leaves suspected to be Indian Hemp.




     

    Pointing that the same operation led to the arrest of a notorious armed robber, Bello Ahmed, alias Wizzy Bola, Haruna assured the public that Bello would be arraigned in court at the following a comprehensive investigation.

    Furthermore, the commissioner of Police disclosed that Emmanuel Abraham whose cohorts are in prison for  murder was nabbed based on crime linked to various cases of armed robbery/culpable homicide and other cult activities while Auwal Wada and Suleiman Hassan of Galadimawa village were arrested for attempted kidnapping.

    “In a similar development, on 21/09/2023, one Abubakar Usman of opposite Estate Galadimawa reported at Kabusa Division that two persons later identified as Auwal Wada and Suleiman Hassan of Galadimawa village threatened to kidnap him and his entire family if he failed to offer them Seven Million Naira (#7,000,000) ransom. However, an agreement was reached that he would pay five million Naira (#5,000,000). The police operatives from Kabusa laid a siege at the point of collection in a bush around Shereti village. The two suspects emerged to collect the ransom and were promptly arrested. This has been the modus operandi of the suspects as they have successfully robbed their victims in the past. The suspects will be arraigned in court soon.”

    Other are suspect are Onyedikachi Chukwu and Uche Obi, members of black axe cult AKA Aye confraternity were arrested while trying to rob a POS operator of his money with two locally made pistols with two rounds of live cartridges

    • Shaibu Ibrahim, arrested for suspected culpable homicide in Nyanya
    • Abdulrahman Abdulahi and six others who reportedly robbed a residence in Mabushi district were arrested for armed robbery and carting away properties like 3 mobile phones, 4 laptops and a Mercedes Benz 2019 model black in colour.
    • Anthony Oko, Monday Ruben, Fidelis Garba and Olaniyi Emmanuel, all males of Keffi, Nasarawa State, Utako and Asokoro in FCT arrested for armed robbery.
    • Samuel Vincent who a member of a robbery gang who specialises in robbing unsuspecting taxi passengers of their belongings was prevented from being lynched after an unsuccessful attempt to dispossess a victim of her belongings.
    • Anthony Oko, Monday Ruben, Fidelis Garba and Olaniyi Emmanuel, all males of Keffi, Nasarawa State, Utako and Asokoro in FCT arrested for suspected armed robbery.
