The Federal Capital Territory Administration has received over N240 billion in allocations for capital projects in the last four years.
A number of documents examined from the federation’s budget office indicate that the administrator of the FCT, under the direction of the minister of the FCT, planned the sum for the fiscal years 2021–2024.
According to the approved budget, the money is intended to finance capital projects in the Federal Capital Territory.

The records reveal that in the fiscal year 2021, about N37.33 billion was set aside for FCTA capital projects.
Also, in the 2022 fiscal year, the FCTA set the goal higher by allotting N51.41 billion for building, renovation, and infrastructure initiatives.
In addition, N13.74 billion was set aside by the federal government for the FCT’s budgetary expenses in 2023.
Nevertheless, the documents that Abujacommunity was able to collect did not list the sum allotted for overhead and human costs for the years under consideration.

The FCT received an additional N61.55 billion naira supplementary budget for the fiscal year 2023.
It stated that the granted amount is anticipated to be used in thirty days to cover FCT’s capital and ongoing expenses.
Additionally, FCT suggested spending N65.2 billion in 2024.
Abujacommunity reached out to the Nnachi Okafor, the public relations officer of Chinedum Kelechi of the mandate secretary for Economic Planning, Revenue Generation, and Public-Private Partnership, Nnachi Okafor but he refused to respond to questions on why the cost of personnel and overhead of the administration were not included in the budgets.
